M-EX is built around process, not promises. Here is exactly what the platform does to protect both sides of every transaction.
M-EX connects buyers and sellers through a structured process. We do not own, inspect, or take possession of any goods listed on the platform. We do not handle the payment between buyer and seller, and we are not responsible for the quality, quantity, delivery, or condition of any material traded through the platform.
The Deal Confirmation issued at close is a record of the agreed commercial terms between buyer and seller. Fulfillment of those terms is the responsibility of both parties directly.
Buyer and seller identities are hidden throughout the listing, offer, and auction process. Name, business name, phone number, and address are not visible to the other party. Contact details are released only after a deal is confirmed and the success fee is paid.
Every listing and RFQ is reviewed by the M-EX team before it goes live. Vague descriptions, incorrect grades, and unverifiable stock are not approved. When you pay to view a listing, you are seeing material that has been checked.
Sellers set a minimum acceptable rate when creating a listing. This rate is never shown to buyers. Buyers bid based on their own assessment of the material. If no bid meets the reserve, the listing closes without a deal. Sellers are never pressured to accept below their floor.
Every completed transaction generates a Deal Confirmation document covering grade, size, quantity, agreed rate, buyer details, and seller details. Both parties receive a copy. This is the formal record of what was agreed between the two parties.
All platform fees are fixed and published. View fees, bid fees, listing fees, and success fees are charged at stated rates with no hidden additions. Every fee deduction generates a GST-compliant tax invoice available from your dashboard.
Buyers pay a fee to view full listing details and a separate fee to participate in an auction. Sellers on RFQs pay an entry fee to view and quote. These fees are small but they ensure that every participant on the platform has committed financially before engaging.
The Deal Confirmation is the documented baseline for any dispute between buyer and seller. It records the agreed grade, quantity, rate, and terms. Both parties receive a copy at deal close.
Commercial disputes between buyer and seller are outside M-EX's scope. The platform does not arbitrate between parties on matters of delivery, payment, or material quality. These are matters between the two trading parties directly.
